Welcome to JGD!

jgd school picDear John G. Dinkelmeyer Families,

Welcome to the JGD Family! It is with great pleasure and excitement that I write to you as the proud Principal of John G. Dinkelmeyer School.

Serving this wonderful learning community is both an honor and a privilege.  Recently, I was asked to reflect upon how my leadership DNA presents itself  in our school. For me, the answer is simple: I hope that when you walk into JGD, whether as a student, parent or visitor, you feel the warmth, care and love that I believe should define a school community. My greatest wish is that this spirit of love and belonging is evident in every classroom, every hallway and every interaction.  As we embark on a new school year together, I am reminded of the immense potential within each precious child who walks through our doors. With a belief in treating every child with respect and love, we are dedicated to fostering an environment where each student can thrive. Our commitment to leading with love ensures that every child receives the support they need for a happy, healthy and fulfilling elementary school experience.   At JGD, we are fortunate to have a team of teachers, faculty and staff who inspire me daily with their dedication and passion for education. Together, we strive to create a safe, supportive and engaging environment where students can grow not only academically but also socially and emotionally.

Our goal is to nurture thinkers, problem solvers, joyful readers and writers, lifelong learners, and future leaders of our community. We deeply value the trust you place in us as partners in your child's education.

Your children are treasured here, and we are committed to ensuring they understand their unique potential and feel valued for exactly who they are. As we look forward to the year ahead, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to learn, grow and celebrate alongside each of you. Thank you for being an essential part of our JGD family. Together, we have so much to look forward to!

Warmly,
Danica Brugge
